dinan stage 3

I'm going to do it. I know it's costly... but, steve stands by his work and I'm keeping this car in my collection as I progress through life. let the flaming begin! I currently have stage 2 with the golf tee mod (don't know why it's called that- all I did was unplug the actuator and involved no golf tees)

No. Not if you unplugged the actuator. Some that do not want to unplug it, worried about throwing codes, use the golf tee method.

I had Dinan stage 2 tune on my car until recently and thought seriously about upgrading to stage 3. When Procede dropped their price to $645 recently and offered $50 off for switching I couldn't resist that path. Dinan stage 3 only advertises another 28 HP and 24 ft-lb compared to stage 2. I also saw a post here of stage 3 dyno results that was disappointing. I want more than another 28 HP and Procede should deliver that now and will support more mods, race gas, methanol, etc. in the future. It also provides map switching back to stock for performance comparison, ability to display boost on the fuel gauge, data logging, and lots of other features above Dinan.

Procede is a well regarded tune and should be reliable. If I have problems that need warranty repair it can be removed fairly easily before taking it in.

If you plan to keep your car it doesn't mean Dinan is better. With the stock downpipes in place expect high engine stress.

Believe Dinan actually states Stage 2 is 384hp and Stage 3 is 398hp, so the difference is only 14hp. Believe TQ difference is even less, 421 vs 429. Just doesn't seem worth it to me.

Does it mean we should expect high engine stress with procede and stock downpipes? Sorry for off topic question.
