E90 CIC Retrofit - No Bluetooth or Sound

Hi,
Ive fitted a CIC unit from a 2010 into a 2006. I get a No Acoustic Tone (no sound from CD, radio, etc), SOS Error and the Bluetooth doesnt work. I do not have a combox attached.

I think the donor car may have had a combox but cant be sure.

Will coding to my car resolve all three issues?

Did you end up making a wiring loom? If so did transfer the MOST optical cables from the original loom into the CIC unit?

For Bluetooth you need to code the CIC unit to recognise the functions in the car. Easiest way is to update the VO/build date and than 'Default code' the CIC module

as gangzoom has said, look for the black crinkly cable in the old quadralock with the green cable (black is optical so dont bend it!) and place it in the same place in your adapter loom

I bought the quadlock 40 pin like yours and connected is directly to the car and the other end into the cic.

So do I need to remove the black cable from the existing loom and put it into the same pin the quadlock one I bought?

So I put the most cables directly into the cic connector. No SOS error now but still not bluetooth or sound.
Would these be down to coding????

Each cic which is retrofitted in a car requires coding it to the car's specs so the CIC is linked to the car and works with the rest of the modules.
If SOS error is gone, then its a matter of coding.
