This sucks! No 19" Style 230 wheels for 2008 US spec 335 coupe?!

Apparently the 2008 North American ordering guide is wrong...

My sales agent just emailed me today with the following regarding the 2R4 option (19" style 230 wheels from the factory):

Munich just informed me that the 19" are only for Canadian Spec cars only, sorry they said that there is a mistake on the ordering guide

...this sucks!

No Way!!!!! I can't imagine that being the case! I just checked MY08 ordering guide and the audio upgrade isn't there????

Why does BMW do such things, its not like we are talking about euro spec lights, wheels are wheels.

good news/bad news :

after i saw the post on the 19's from order guide ... i contacted my dealer as I just put my order in for my 2008 e92 & e93 (they are letting me order both and choose which one i will keep at time of delivery) and even fwd to them the order guide details posted here.

They looked into it and told me that they got the official dealer order guide from bmwna and they said that the initial 2008 models will NOT offer the 19's on the coupe and that they are NOT even listed as an option for the vert.

this sucks for me as I am expecting to take delivery in November with no 19's (means I gotta get CSL's or m6 reps). But looks like the 19's will be available later on. I am on my 8th bimmer (me & my wife) from this dealer & trust what they say.

Why don't you guy get the car with regular wheels. And then buy aftermarket 19's later? You now have 2 sets of wheels

The M 225s are more functional anyway, or the M 193s if 18" is your choice.

I think that the problem is the tire source, Bridgestone had issues with supplying the 18" RE050 rfts, and apparently are not happy about stocking more rare tires.

It's probably due to supply problems. The US is such a big market for high end features because of the affordable price that introduction of anything new would surge the demand. Just my speculations.

One good thing about buying it in Canada.

For the price difference between Canada and US, you guys can just go buy your own set of rims and save a lot more than paying Canadian taxes

This is odd. I spoke to BMWNA yesterday and they told me it was 19" in style 230 (yes... for US). This really really sucks if htey changed things since yesterday... now its looking like i will just put my e46 M3 rims on the 335i coupe...

Hmm this is strange... there seems to be a disconnect somewhere in the BMW chain because we have two different responses from two different sources. I really hope that 230's are available. I will try to research this some more and see if I can get a definitive answer on the issue; keep the responses coming I would like to see what everyone is being told regarding this issue.

I've heard nothing of this. And it'd be a DCS dealer bulletin if it was true.

BMW NA investor relations just called and confirmed that the 19" option has been removed for MY 2008 and the website and ordering guides will be updated shortly.
