So long and thanks for all the fish!

Our 3 series has just headed off to a new home.

Stephen is on here, so I am sure he will say hi. He had a close shave with our friends Big Motoring world!!

In the 2 years we owned it, the 320d never missed a beat, and averaged an amazing 55.4mpg.

I think the front is a massive improvement on the old one - I realise still a marmite thing though!

The interior is just a lovely place to be too, again worlds away from the previous generation and not unlike the inside of the Panamera, which was both too much money and too long for our garage!!!

Which model have you gone for in the Porsche. Is it the new diesel they have just brought out which sounds superb? I agree with above the 2nd generation car looks much better and they look great in black.

Not the new S, "just" the regular 245bhp V6 Diesel.

The S's wont get delivered until early next year and are another £13k more than the V6.

Looks good but you might get a shock at how poor it will be on snow and ice if its anything like an X5!! The weight is a major problem along with huge tyres, good winter tyres are essential.

Thanks, think we will be fine. Avoided the big (expensive) alloys and kept with the standard 18s. Porsche also offer optional (zero cost, unusual for their options list) all season tyres, so I reckon we'll be fine for most of what the UK weather can throw at us..
