Query for the VAG boys - wheel spacers
A colleague is trying to source a set of spacers for the front wheels of his Leon.
He has a set of Leon Cupra R alloys and would like to use 5mm spacers. He has a set that he tried but they don't have a central guide flange, relying solely on the wheel studs - which he says causes some vibration at about 80mph. Anybody know if you can get a set of wheel spacers with central guides in 5mm size ? He assures me the hubs are pretty constant across the VAG range. D.

I had this issue as well with some spacers.
Take the time to torque the wheels on in a star pattern (or similar if its a 4 lug) little bit by little bit, getting tighter every time. This took my wobble away easy as pie, and took less than an hour for my front two wheels. |

The ones he has have a tapered flange for the face that mounts to the hub, but just a flat face on the outter facing - nothing to centralise the wheel on. I can't see from the e-bay image if they have a flange on the outter edge for locating the wheel ? D.
