Rear leaking
I noticed a small puddle of oil on my garage floor. It looks like it is right under the rear diff.
I first noticed it 2 weeks ago. Since then, sometime when I park the car overnight there is nothing on the floor, but sometimes there will be a small puddle. I took the car in since my CPO is ending in November. They said they couldn't find any leaks or signs of leaks anywhere in the rear. Do you know what might of happened. There was definitely oil. No one else parks in that spot. I asked if it needed to be driven and warmed up. They said they would have noticed past signs. I'm going to put a pan underneath to catch any oil and show them. Any other ideas or similar problems? |

330i are known to have problems with the mechtronic sleeve leaking. It is located in your auto transmission. There is a DIY on this forum. Seems like a cheap and somewhat straightforward fix.

If no codes are being thrown use Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner (concentrate). It solves rpm fluctuating upon cold start-up. Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool. It contains the actual BMW codes. If you want to register a newly installed battery for free (just buy a $10 cable) and google/download BMWLogger
