I think i may need an alternator...

Hey guys, so today getting home from a 2 hour drive my cluster when crazyyyy, everylight came on and off, speed needles reset and electrical power seemed to reset a couple of times. The car runs excellent but flickering happened about 5 times. I stopped to get gas and its fine now, i dont know what could it be. Im thinking either battery or alternator, anyone? Ive never had an issue with my 07 E90 sedan.

Do you have a volt meter?

If so, check the battery voltage with the engine off, and again with it running. Should be higher running and over 13v. I kinda doubt it is the alternator since our tiny battery will drain really quickly and the car will not start shortly after the alternator goes.
