2 pretty cool new coding options.

Got a hold of FRM3 and found two pretty exciting options

1 - use fog lights as cornering lights.
pros:
looks very nice

cons:
doesn't actually light up corners

won't work with HID fog lights
doesn't work when fog lights are on (duh)

2 - turn on "follow me home" with a keyfob.
pros:
scare bystanders and pedestrians while sitting in Starbucks
it does light up the driveway nicely.
locate your car in parking lot

cons:
lights turn on when you try to pop the trunk.

my mercedes had the cornering fog lights and I must have had 10 different people tell me I had a fog light out. Option 2 is cool though

You can just buy the FRM3 module (that controls the lights) to get all of this functionality. My car is 2007 with a 12/2006 build date

They go for $300-350.

Damn I WISH the DRL mit nsw line actually worked like that so the fogs came on with DRLs.
I activated it since its the same logic as the cornering fog code but no effect

^ I noticed that DRL line as well for the fogs. So when you activated it, the fogs did not turn on as DRL as well? Might have to activate another line as well.

Nope. That's what I'm thinking just never pursued it. I will this weekend when I'm at the shop if I have some downtime.

From what I remember fog lights don't work at all if you enable them as DRL.

If your fogs are already on, but you turn what does it look like?

Nothing, they stay on

I switched it back to stock. Looks cool but doesn't actually light up the corners.
