Are my BRAND new wheels damaged?

So I posted up a teaser pic earlier of my wheels which just arrived. So I got off work and decided 2 take a more detailed look at the wheels and noticed these..looks like black/burn marks w/ a hole. The hole is where the ends of the welding meet where its all black

Any metal workers/welders know if this is normal?? It concerns me b/c I just paid 3k and waited 6 weeks for them....all 4 wheels have this

pics below of the 'damage?' Also added some more pics for u guys

Rear lips fit 5 pennies, thats all that I'm left w/ after the purchase

i-Forge two piece wheels are welded. Only the 3-piece wheels are true assembled.

But the welding suture is not correct.
There should be no whole at the end of that.
This means pore and scoria in it and that isn`t good for a perfect connection of the material.

.

I have said it a million times on these boards. Do not get Iforged with polished lip. Get a chrome lip, chrome lip is a 2 piece wheel that is bolted together. The polished lips are 2 piece wheels welded together. Plus you have to polish the lip every week to keep it looking good.

With that said this weld mark is not going to affect this wheel at all

Yes they tarnish very easily and you have to polish the lip a lot. Throw some wax on the chrome and it looks like mirror finish, never have to touch them. Now if the chrome chips or is damaged its going to show and can't be fixed easily. But since they are not welded you could keep the center piece and get the outer wheel replaced.

Many wheels are welded like this but the weld is painted over so its less noticeable.

I was considering those, but I don't want any welds on my $3k wheels.

I'm definitely going with the Advans after seeing this.

Advans are 100 times better made. Plus they will be original. Which ones are you going with? Post pics soon if you get them. I have to see these on a BMW.
