Dinan's S2 407HP/429TQ (Scans Attached)

Great article in Roundel's April edition.
"others usually create a "piggyback" ECU that fools the stock system into thinking it is not making as much boost at that rpm as it's suppose to. The ECU responds by upping the boost to make up for that deficiency.

Unfortunately, the BMW's ECU does more than just control boost; it is also in charge of fuel mapping, ignition timing, knock control, and a host of emissions controls and other engine-saving code. A piggyback ECU will never properly replace all of those functions in your car. Unless you use very-high-octane fuel, the BMW's ECU will retard ignition timing and fuel mapping in the best interests of saving your engine."

407 hp @ 5,700rpm
429 lb/tq @ 3,700rpm

23 hp from the IC priced at $1600

"E92 M3 drivers beware: If you encounter a 335i with a Dinan badge on the trunk, don't throw down the pink slips. The car is so fast i a straight line you'll have to hitchhike home....the Dinan sledge pulls like a proverbial bullet train well into triple digits.

LOL Dinan is saying they put down 407/429.. Check your own dyno bubbles. They are talking crank.. and the 23 hp from the IC is crank as well.. which puts it right in line with all of the other options.

Wait a minute, so this is the stage 2 people had been talking about? Or these are the numbers from Dinan's original flash?

It is going to be the same as the PROcede. We already know the pressures drop of the IC so it going to be 14.5 PSI boost. No surprise for me at least as I knew they were not going to spool up the turbos. It has more torque however

Wounder how much the air box upgrade is. Is it good for another 8 whp as they got a mini flash for it.

...plus installation, which is probably an additional...$1200?
If you dont have the oil cooler, add $2000 plus installation (maybe another $1200?)

Grand total could be $8000 plus...

It is based on the Spearco IC. I posted a thread a few months ago with the data so you can use it as a base line. The engineer from Spearco did say it almost identical not less than a week ago.

Wheel Power:

Whp ~365
Wtq ~385

Those are HP at the crank.

I have the Dinan "Stage 1" Flash.

What is the difference in HP / TQ from the current flash to the stage 2?
