This is a really nice option. Not everyone needs a BBK. I was looking for something like this some time ago...and I still am
So these are Brembo 98.5030.40 calipers, right ? They seem to be around $350-$400 a piece. I wonder if it will be possible to buy only the brackets and the other fittings used to install the calipers ? I mean, the Brembo caliper could be found cheaper in Europe for people living in Europe...not sure it would make sense to import from the US. Last edited by tscdennab; 02-29-2012 at 03:43 PM.. |

The calipers came from Germany regardless (plus according to this thread or the other 3 w/ the same subject) this same caliper per the part # is used with a lot of other vehicles so that would also lead me to think of checking junk yards for those cars and then be able to purchase the adapter and or the rotors and DIY or just plain powder coat or the Brembo logo |

This is interesting. Looks like I will hold off modding my brakes and see what develops here. Any idea on price? Pad and rotor option?

Interesting...I just want a caliper for the rear that will let me run Hawk Blue's on all four corners.

Yes, please! All I need is a shiny black (maybe even white). I can paint them on my own. I don't need cosmetics. I just want a little more protection from brake fade.
4-piston calipers?! Sexy! Subbed... |

I just thought that Harold bought the Brembo calipers from outside BMW network (because he realized that the F30 calipers are very similar) and tries to fit them on an e90. I mean, if they were bought from BMW, do you think that BMW would supply the Brembo brochure with them ?

Just look up the Brembo caliper under that number.. They don't even share the same brake pad. |

So the Brembo tag has nothing to do with the BMW 4-piston that HPA shows pictured?
Also, why is it not painted Blue or Red with the BMW logo? Is this to say that all F30 brakes are the exact same as the F30 Performance brakes minus the paint/logo? I want to buy the blue performance setup exactly as pictured in the show cars. Is this available and will it fit an E90? I have no problem buying the adapter kit from HPA if that is all that is necessary. Based on the last few posts, I'm confused as to what is being offered.
