A classic approach, above serves no purpose but elimination o'pump cavitation.
Do you have a malfunctioned pump? Cavitation damage being obvious, would like to see a pic of the compression / high pressure side. Wanted mine for that, but BMW demanded it as the price of warranty repair.
Totally annoying that it took them longer than a few days to ID & fix the problem. 4 years, wasn't it? Yarrrrrrrrrr....
