Hey, what's up everyone. Nice to see a lot of 3 series fanatics from Georgia!

We've been discussing that but nothing has ever come out of it. I know that most people on the board said they couldn't meet during the week.....I would suggest maybe a Sunday morning meet like Caffeine and Octane does. Maybe we can do it at the Starbucks in Brookhaven, or Peachtree Battle or Caribou Coffee on Peachtree. Or perhaps since people go to church in the morning we could do an evening meet at Phipps Plaza parking lot after the stores close, maybe around 6PM....and afterward maybe we could go to Twist for the $10 all you can eat menu.

I think that the Phipps Plaza meet is a great idea. Let's set something up!

Fellini's in Buckhead is a good place also. You can sit on the patio and watch cars on Peachtree. We might also get lucky and be able to park a car or two out front. Plus I live there so I could walk over.

Why don't we do a meet one night at Andretis in Alpharetta? As much as I love Bulkhead and going there, it is a little too far for me, coming from Canton. But I really don't know how far Andretis is for everybody else. Maybe some people can chime in? Either way we need to get something going. We still need to get a mountain drive. I've been doing some solo drives and it is boring.

+100 I really want to get that planned! Solo drives are boring (sometimes). I am down to meet anywhere, but unfortunately I can't do anything for another 2 weeks [staying strong...gotta pass the bar exam]

I find that 5-10 is the critical limit. After that the "tail" gets too long.
I'm always up for an early morning weekday drive.
Weekends are too packed with other cars, bikers, cyclists, and cops.

You guys know what really needs to happen, is for TopSpeed to do another Dyno Day and have a meet. Take a huge group picture and then go for a drive. What does everybody think about that? Maybe Tyler can chime in????

That sounds like a great idea! But I would suggest doing the drive first and then meeting at TS?

I have been tossing this idea around for awhile now....I am going to talk it over with Cicio and see what we can come up with! Once we discuss it, I will organize everything

I went to the meet yesterday at Chipotle. Turned out ok, about 13 Bimmers....I was the only e90ish series....but there was a nice young lady with a brand new e92 335i that pulled up to Chipotle and told her about the forums.....she said she was a "gear head" and this was her 3rd Bimmer. I showed her the group and she said that she may come to the next one.

Aight in addition to the Dyno meet that Tyler is checking into, I'm going to scope out Phipps Plaza on Sunday around 6 to see if we will be able to takeover an area of the parking lot. If so I will post a meet for 24th. I don't want to meet on the same weekend as Caffiene and Octane which is the first Sunday of the month. And by the way, it is back on again. See below.

New Venue For Caffeine and Octane

Thanks to the efforts of Jack Walter we have a new venue for the August show. It’s in Roswell on Alpharetta highway, just a bit north of Mansell Road. Our host for the show is Nino’s Italian Kitchen, http://ninositaliankitchen.com/

Nino is a car guy and has held auto themed events at his place before. He’ll be doing breakfast and coffee for our event. Please park as close as you can to his place. The lot is large and as long as we behave ourselves (no engine revving or burnouts PLEASE!) we shouldn’t have any problems.
One of the conditions on using the lot is that we are customers of the restaurant ( this comes from Roswell city and the property manager) so please patronize the Resturaunt. Nino was very instrumental in speaking with Roswell about doing the event at his place. The food selection should be a lot better than what we had before!

I will be hiring off-duty officers from Roswell to police the event. Lead foots, consider this your warning as some of you may know Roswell does not mess around with traffic infractions.

I mentioned Jack Walter earlier. Jack and his wife Christy are frequent patrons of Nino’s and mentioned the show to him some time in the past. If you see Jack at the show please tell him thanks (he’s the one in the dark green land rover that looks like he just crossed the Serangeti). If it wasn’t for him I’d still be looking for a venue.
