Pre-LCI E92 to LCI M Sport bumper not so plug and play...
The LCI bumper is not PnP as some have stated. When BMW changed the LCI headlight, they also changed the bracket which attaches to the bottom of each headlight. Not a big deal...right. They changed the mounting points for the headlight on the bracket, it also drops down lower and comes out farther than the pre-LCI bracket.
So if you want to install the LCI bumper you will need to get the brackets, headlights, reinforcement bumper (depending on your production date) and hood (This I already knew). I found all of this out when I was trying to retrofit the LCI m-sport bumper. ![]() ![]() ![]() If you ever get a chance to look at a pre-LCI and LCI side by side you will see the LCI has sort of a ledge below the light. This is where the tabs on the bumper slide into the bracket. See realoem.com for the part numbers. The picture for both brackets are the same, but the numbers are different.
