Question Door Hinge Cracking Sound E92

My door hinge makes a cracking sound at each of the three points the door stops at when you open it. It is also moving whilst its coming out

I've taken a picture of it can someone tell me if I need to get it into a garage or if they know what I can do to fix it

Does that screw need tightening - by hand it seemed pretty tight but I dont have anything to go on it

You have tried coating the arm in white lithium grease?

Question

Ill give that a go but its not the bar its the bit the bar goes into with the bolt on it. It moves around at the 3 positions the door stops at whilst opening and cracks each time

You know what I need to try and tighten that bolt ?

Tighten those three Torx bolts and lube the arm.

If no good, remove door card and remove from inside and replace it

Thumbs up

Mine did the same. Tightening the bolts cured it. An ordinary socket of the right size will do the job.

E93 Door Hinge Cracking Sound

I have an E93 and the door has started to make an annoying clicking/creaking sound whenever I open or shut it. It makes a noise at 3 specific stages until the door is fully open. I have not tried to tighten the big torex bolt but any advise would be appreciated?

Thanks very helpful. Silly question - exactly which bolts need tightening? I will need to go out and buy the relevant sockets so the exact socket numbers would be really helpful.

That's the e10!

Then there's two female torx on door that are t30

Had a couple of friends with e46 have them go lose so far has always been the male torx the e10.

Ok I tightened the bolts but made no difference. They weren't loose to be honest. I'm beginning to suspect that the hinge/brace itself will require replacing. Looks like a dealer jobby...groan..

I know a lot of people will jump in and say this grease or that grease. But in my mind any grease is better than no grease. It is not a bearing, just a sliding bar.
