Oil Change

Anyone have the special tool to remove the oil filter cap handy who is local to the Rockville area? I'd like to borrow it for an oil change.

If you don't find anyone with the tool, you can always get a pair of Imperial Oil Filter pliers from Walmart for < 10 bucks.

I used these with a microfiber to change my oil and it worked fine.

I just bought the cap filter tool in the FS forum for $20 shipped (new). You can find them used for less. I would go with the right tool for the cap personally.

I use a rubber strap wrench, can be found for under $10. Might as well own this tool instead of borrowing if you plan to keep the car.

Agreed. I'm just trying to find something quick since waiting for the tool would mean no oil change before bimmerfest.
