Hi All

I am new to the coding scene

Just received by OBD cable

Running Win7 64bit Ultimate
Issues:
1. Dont have comm port on the laptop
2. NCSEXPERT does not run, gives me message about compatibility, even wen running in compatibility mode

Tried running the program on a Windows XP Virtual PC however comes up with api.dll errors and api32.dll errors.

Any help

Thank You

Garage List
Try to right click on the NCSEXPERT icon and click "run as administrator"...

Hmm I'm not sure if that's where it's suppose to go or not. I just got a regular K CAN OBDII cable for $37 and a R232 to USB adapter and used the drivers that came with the adapter.

The cd that came with the adapter just installed it automatically. I'm assuming in a windows directory. Not the ediabas directory.

Have you tried to remove all of the files and try to start over? Maybe you made a mistake somewhere?

You're welcome. Yes, click E89 for your E90 car.

Here is the Chassis Family Codes List for NCSExpert. (Source: thanks to dadeppa from another forum)

BC_Digital is in the KOMBI module (there is a mistake in the guide). You need to edit the .TRC file then save that file as .MAN.
