Tire pressure gauge - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Hi guys,

I'm looking for a good tire pressure gauge. At the moment, I have tried 3 pressure gauges:

1) On my Schneider inflator gun
2) On the Dunlop compressor (BMW mobility kit)
3) The gauge that comes separate with the mobility kit

They all read different. The Dunlop compressor reads low by approx 0.2-0.3 bar, the schneider and mobility kit gauge are on par at approx. 2.2 bar, but at 2.6 bar Schneider, the mobility kit gauge reads 2.9. Soooooo... I need a decent gauge.

I have searched what I can get locally, and I've sort of narrowed it down to:

Michelin certified, but I cannot find the manufacturer's website, or anything about it... it's for tire shops, so I'm guessing it's accurate enough...

Again, I'm guessing this is a rebranded something (perhaps this: http://www.amazon.com/Longacre-Digit...716387&sr=8-10). Accuracy 1% sounds good. I like the fact that it's digital, i.e. it's easy to see that the tire pressure is the same on both front/rear tires. However, some people say digital gauges suck, i.e. cannot be as precise?

Well, any help welcome...

I bought it for my bicycles because it handles both Schrader and Presta valves. But it works great for all applications. Plus the rotating head makes it easier to reach difficult areas. It also has a pressure release button to fine tune your pressure.

Hm,

I think I'll go for the longacre one, provided that it can be recalibrated (sent them an email).

The problem with the Schrader one is the fact that it goes to 12 bar, which is useless, and since I'd be barely using 1/3 of the scale, it makes the rest a bit redundant.

The longacre one seems easy to read, and based on reviews online, should be accurate.

The OMP digital one seems like it's all plastic (the body) and so cheap = easily broken...
