yea, I did 12 all around and it's the best thing I did to my car.

Those rims look a lot better spaced out. Car looks good dude.

mate, question for you, in terms of performance, handling and mainly safety, what are the implications of spacers? i mean they look amazing which is why i want them but i don't want to be hampering my car! If anyone else cant answer this, it would be great, its just a bit of a grey area it seems :S Thanks!

Get hubcentric spacers thicker than 10mm. The stock hub is pretty much 10 mm long so if you go thinner, the spacer wont have its own lip and you will be resting a wheel on a shortened hub. Narrow spacers is a common culprit for inside of the spacer not resting flush against the original hub. This will cause vibration and uneven tire wear at highway speeds because there will be a 1-1.5mm gap where the metal should be completely flush up against the stock hub.

All spacers are said to cause premature wear on the wheel bearings which are an expensive part, but I really don't think it will do much damage unless you're going to drive aggressively for the next 200k miles. The M3 GTS has spacers stock (BMW doesn't seem to be too concerned).
Just make sure you are installing correctly, get hubcentric ones designed specifically for the car, and absolutely use the extended lug bolts that a good set should come with. And don't loctite the spacer to the hub or wheel.

Thanks alot of the info! was a great help! you will have to bear with me as im a newbie to tuning so i dont know the implications of these things!

i am only really going to drive my car maybe only 50k miles MAX in its lifetime and i wont be tracking it or racing it so would you think i would have a problem with the bearings?

Do spacers depends on wheels and suspension? as i would be upgrading my suspension and maybe changing wheels in the future..

Also are there any spacers you would recommend? Below is a thread of my car, if you need any other information, just let me know

Kyron, is the rear diffusor OEM? Original partnumber? If not OEM will it fit directly on my M Sportspackage rear??

Installation would require some trimming on inside of the original rear bumper on both sides to fit the diffuser.

Thanx, I had 10mm fronts and 12mm rears.

If you're planning to change your wheels, get a more aggressive offsets than the original wheels, so they can sit flush with the fenders. Then you don't have to get spacers.
