Best Road Kill?

A bit of light hearted fun this one.... (well not for the hare!)

I 'collected' this massive hare in the front bumper of my 350Z a few weeks ago!

Didn't realise it was there for 24hrs, driving home one night a hare runs into the road, BANG!, I assumed it had been thrown to the side of the road! Then I forgot all about it!

Parked up on my drive at home as normal, etc. etc, drove to work the next morning remembered what happened and thought I'd better have a look at the front......

F~~K! There's this hare's head and one of its legs doing a superman impression out of the grill!

You know what they say....

"Hare today, gone tomorrow!"

Sorry, someone had to though.

I remember in my youth driving home from the pub with my mate in his Triumph when a dog ran out in front of us. We hit it but didn't stop as my mate had been drinking. As we continued driving we suddenly heard a barking noise coming from the transmission tunnel. My mate slammed on the brakes and this crazed dog run out from under the car apparently no worse, well not physically anyway, for his trip a mile up the road.

I hit a pheasant in my MG at around 70MPH on the M4. I couldn't do anything about it, rush hour on a crowded motorway. It broke the front bumper underneath and went through the stainless steel grill and took a couple of blades off the elctric fan. Cost 90 quid including labour to get it replaced. Funnily enough apart from a pigeon on the M1 years ago I hadn't hit anything for years, then when I got that MG I had two pheasants and a pigeon in 18 months.

Regards

Chris

It is funny how these things happen, shortly before the hare I had an incident with a pheasant, it was by the side of the road and I was approaching at around 60 (ish....) anyway just as I got up close to it it decided to take off towards me and hit the windscreen - BIG SMASH - new windscreen required £60 thank you very much! Although not as bad as the £550 replacement for the 350Z bumper!

I heard a story about Status Quo driving in the Austrailian outback when the bus hit a kangaroo, someone on the bus thought it would be a great idea to bring the dead animal into the bus for a photo. They then proceded to dress the kangaroo with sunnies and the drivers jacket, as the photo was taken the flash of the camera startelled the roo bringing it out of its dazed state causing it to head for the nearest open door and make for the bush. All very funny but the keys of the bus were in the jacket pocket...... Maybe an urban myth but funny.

I'd never heard of that either if it makes you feel any better

I've killed a cat and had a pheasant bounce off the window so far - - NOT in this car
