Hows the camera working for those very fortunate people who have received it and installed it? Is/Was the install easy? I used to do all my own stuff to the car when I had my old car (08 MDX), so i dont think its going to be that hard with this system, but it is a BMW afterall lol
For those of you who have installed it already, hows the camera? everything is to your liking? no regrets?

High quality camera, even in the dark!!! Install was easy plug and play, with the exception that I have a manual shift BMW so I had to splice into the reverse lamp, but all instructions were included. The hardest part was running the cables, especially through the rubber tubing between the trunk lid and trunk..... If I had to do it again, I would do so without a doubt!!! I am looking for a similar solution for my Z4 now....

any pictures of the quality of the camera on screen display? since you're saying it is high quality. sorry to be a pain, just sorta trying to get a feel and background on the install and on the result of the installation as to what i should expect

nothing at this time..... after I installed it I did make a video of it playing a video from my iPod with NAV on split screen. I will try to post that video and possibly make a video showing off the system tomorrow

Having trouble trying to display the video, or shall I say I do not know how to post it....

But by split screen, have NAV on one side and the video playing on the other side of the screen.

By default the system displays on the small portion of the screen, I moved the i-drive controller to the back to go into entertainment section and then to the right to highlight the right section of the screen. push down on the controller and chose perspective view.

The install took me about 2 hours. It's not hard at all, although it's hard to see in his pictures what plugs into what. I bought my kit from Lezam who had previously installed it on his car. I just used the instructions he had, and my general knowledge. I have to try to figure out how to wire some cables to my center console so that I can play videos off my ipod.

The hardest part was trying to get the wire through the rubber tubing that connects the trunk to the body. I ended up not getting it and just taking the wire and putting the grommets over my wire :/

that sux, i thought that Lezam was waiting to get his and was syked about it but now we find out he gave it up lol

according to what i have read online about the multimedia interface module, it should have a cable that has multiple input/output ports, one of which is the rear camera and several others, i think you can go to radio shack and get a cable that goes for your TV which is an Input/Output cable to be able to play videos from your iphone to your TV...and connect that cable to the Input/Output port. Not sure on this exactly, that is what i got from ebay really...if you lookup "bmw multimedia interface" it describes what ports it has.
