Installation time depends on the current software level of the vehicle - but in some cases can be installed in around an hour.

Version 2 has been available for a long time. We've been running it on special in our BMW Performance Catalog, and pricing is now reduced to 1199.00 through the end of 2011!

You can just buy version 2. (currently 1199.99 until the end of 2011)

Yup, the kit for the N54s w/ MSD80 produced up to 3/2008 includes the newer MSD81 DME. We have to order this kit by vin (so be sure to include it w/ your order) and it ships directly from Germany. Not sure how that will affect the installation time or price - you'd have to contact your local BMW Service dept. for an installation quote.

When I try to order this kit through the Tishcher BMW website, it still is charging me the $29.95 ground shipping. Will this be refunded after ordering or will only $575 be charged to my credit card?

^tischer wont charge you the $29.95 since it is free shipping.
i know this b/c i bought 4 new rotors/pads/sensors from them and it also
had free shipping but when i was about to check out it said i needed to pay around
$40 for shipping. but i was never charged for shipping at all. tischer doesnt charge your card until they have the item in there hands and ship out to you i believe.
