I just wanted to clear up some terminology concerning the Jehnert XE200.

Jehnert's catalog states that the frequency response is 42-4,000 Hz, but it also mentions a subsonic filter starting at 80 Hz. Does this mean that the speaker won't play frequencies below 80 Hz even though the response goes down to 42 Hz?

i love my XE200s they are very full. for a brief moment in time i thought i needed i sub. after tweaking the amp and pairing it with a good set of front drivers, i def do not need a sub.

i cant speak highly enough for their sound, ive had mine just about a year now.

Thanks...I've actually just finished installing a level 1 system from Musicar. I decided to run the Morell Dotech and Jehnert speakers after reading a number of posts and talking to Ken. I'm going to write a post about my install and impressions after I've spent more time with it, but it really is a nice package. The greater range and quality of this combo really lend themselves more to an accurate representation of the sound and not exaggerated bass.

I was asking about the details on the Jehnerts as I was trying to set the crossover for the front and underseat speakers. Ken is recommending 200 Hz as a target, so I'll try that for now, but may tweak it later.

IIRC, this has come up before, it was a recommended highpass if you were running a trunk sub. In that situation, I usually run them down to 60, but we frequently run them with just a LP.
