DVD NAV version???

Hi all,
I am just wondering if I should expect to be getting the latest DVD nav software (2007-2) when I take delivery of my new car next week.

Can anyone, who just got their new E9x with pro nav, confirm the DVD version that they got?

Also, If I do not get the latest version, do I have good grounds to complain to the dealer about getting the latest version for free?
(Give him the old.... I just paid 2 grand for sat nav and I expect it to be up-to-date, etc, etc)

Thanks

Bloody hell!!! I'd be going mental at even the suggestion that I wasn't getting the latest version!!!

AFAIK the car should come with the latest version available at the point of delivery.

It'll probably come with the latest one at the 'build date' rather than the actual delivery date.

If you are waiting for a new reg the dates mught be a little way apart (my car was built in July 06, but delivered on the 1st Sept 06)

Is the 0702 disc actually available yet?

Supposedly - it was released by Navteq at the beginning of April.

I got it too - picked up car on 14th May - although the bloke at the garage told me it would be only 2007-1! I was glad to see him proved wrong..

Does the 07-02 version have the postcode search option? I'm thinking of buying one of ebay, as my 06-02 version doesn't and is a real pain to use.

Couldn't some charitable soul with an 0702 disc offer to burn a few copies?

For instance, if someone were to email them with a blank DVD and a stamped addressed envelope, it would be the work of a moment to run off a copy and drop it in the post.

how do you email a blank DVD to someone?

if they posted a DVD out that might work though

Good point ... that's what I meant.

Although emailing a blank DVD would be quicker

I'd also like to have a "backup" of an 07-02 Nav disc.
Is anyone out there willing to help?

Full post-code input - not partial ??

That would be worth an upgrade, I hate the half-arsed stab at a solution that my disc has (2007-1).

You can pick them up for around £100 on eBay. I wonder how much someone might charge for a "back-up" version?

I would charge exactly 'nothing'.

At the moment I only have 07.01 though (with speed cameras)

I have a 2007-2 nav iso image with May 07 speed camera database and will make a few backups for those in need. Just dont want to be swamped with requests - if you know what i mean
