How about the front did you leave them stock 225/40?

The stock sport 18" rft are rock hard, when you swap out with non-rft go to Canadian Tire pick up the slime kit that includes a mini compressor, it does not freeze in winter and it's also an easy way to keep your tires properly inflated.

Didn't do the fronts yet ... much more rubber then in the rear.
So yes, currently I have RFT's in the front, and non-RFT's in the back.

found this thread as I'm searching for cost of maintaining my 2006 330i. I bought it CPO in May 2010 with 48k and not one issue to report (now at 71k). Highly recommend the 6 MT and sport pkg, actually I would argue it's a must. Still running with the RFT's are they were brand new and they are wearing in normally and 17's square 245's on BMW reps for winter. As much as I love the car I repeatedly think about selling it as I am worried about the cost of maintenance. $1000/year is normal, can' t do $2000/year or higher as a father of two there are better places this money can go. My plan is to keep the car and I've got a couple different indy shops lined up that specialize in bmw/german cars for when an issue arises. Matte black grille and DRL delete + euro corners and LED angel eyes gives the sort of dated front end a nice face lift.

Had my heart set on the 335i but did not want to deal with HPFP and I think it was a great decision.

Same here, the 335 is one to skip, my next jump will be to an M3. No turbo, no issues.

The sales rep kept calling me.. I know you are after a 330 sport but another 335 just came in, come take it for a test drive... Umm, no thanks.

The HPFP has a crazy good warranty now after all the issues, I really wouldn't be so scared of it.

if you are thinking of getting the next generation M3, you may be disappointed...

E9x M3, want to stay naturally aspirated as long as I can before being put on turbo life support.

If 400HP ever feels slow I could get a supercharger for it for 600 HP.

murphys law

Days after I post never had one issue in 1.5 years with my CPO, I got one. Coolant light comes on after work as I start the car. Stays on for 15 mins until I pull in my garage, then goes away and never returns. Coolant was at the min level or lower, added some so it's betwen min and max level. Checked for leaks, hose leaks, clamps etc...don't see anything.
