brakes are simple. there could be some foreign material somewhere stuck on the pad causing the noise too.

i can tell you for sure- its not your wheels hahahah
Agreed there's no way wheels (which, like brakes, are simple) could cause this. Shameful the dealer tried to blame it on that, but I guess they'll blame aftermarket parts whenever they can.

It can't be due to debris or other material on the brake pads since it existed before and after having them replaced.

I see a few other members have posted videos of brake sensor squeal and that's definitely a different issue. I guess I'll go to dealer with my video and suggestions of anti-squeal on the pads and/or lubing the caliper bolts.

No, but the car only has 40K miles. From when I took the car to the dealer in June for this issue they measured the brakes at 8.5mm front and 7.5mm rear, but I have to assume that's the pads since minimum rotor thickness is around 20mm from what I've read. Hard to imagine the rotors are shot at 40K mi (I don't drive like I'm 18 anymore and I remember replacing my rotors on my E46 at around 80K). Unless you mean it could be a defect in the rotor itself.
