Creaking Steering Column

Anyone have this issue?

Seems to only do it when turning the wheel right, most obvious when parking.

I\'ve read on the main forum about issues with bearings on the column causing play and a clicking in the column but I wouldn\'t say that was my issue, the steering feels tight.

I had a low speed creaking from the column. One of the things sorted last time it went in.

I had a low speed creaking that I thought was coming from the steering column in my old 1 Series (same parts/construction pretty much). Despite suspecting the steering column the creak was actually the airbag slip ring that sits behind the steering wheel. Just needed lubing.

I had it only when it was freezing outside and the car was cold, never did anything about it though.

Actually that sounds familiar.
