Clutch is there for a reason, it's fun to mess around and match RPMs every so often but driving that way consistently is pretty impractical

I blew my master cylinder in my evo and had to drive 2 hrs w/out a clutch in traffic back from the track it was awful. Thankfully I am a very skilled driver & made it home no problem

My friend had an old stickshift Mercedes that he put 275,000 miles on with the original clutch. He only ever used the clutch to get into/out of first from a stop.

It's terribly hard on your synchros if you're not absolutely perfect at it.... and clutch discs are much cheaper than blown synchros.

I didn't even know it was possible to do ANYTHING without the clutch in a 6mt....
How do you start, shift, stop, etc!?

Well to start if your clutch isn't working you have to have the car off in first gear, crank it till it starts with your foot on the gas n it will come to life. Stopping is not an option you must try to maintain movement at all times or repeat step 1. Um to stop you hit your breaks. Shifting is easy and to do so you have to rev match (bring tranny n engine to same speed) and you just slide it into the next gear/down shift.

On my motorcycle I only use the clutch at a stop and down-shifting. Up-shifting I rarely do.

In my cars on the other hand, I always use the pedal. I know people that dont (for shifting), but I do not like the feel of it.
