Yes, it's actually in Customs. Just shy of four weeks now.

The Perf Center had me pencilled in (yes, that's not typically, but my dealer I guess has an excellent relationship with them - he does tons of ED).

Just spoke with them all today. Still clearing customs.

Man that sucks. Hope it all works out for the best eventually. It's definitely a good time and don't forget to wander outside promptly after lunch to get a hot lap with the instructors in an M5. The folks in my group that were on the ball got out there early and worked in two :-)

Sadly, they wouldn't let me take my new M3 onto the skidpad by myself, but 1200 miles of scenic and twisty back roads made up for it. One word of warning about the Blue Ridge Parkway... there are NO passing zones anywhere on it. I guess that's their way of keeping traffic slow.

Just placed my order for a 2011 328i sedan. Looks like it'll be a Munich (or at least German made - are they made elsewhere?). Also looks like it'll be one of the last, as production for this generation is winding down in October (for the RWD). Really excited, as production began on Monday. Now only have to wait two months (ugh)!

So I know that my car was put on a ship at Bremerhave on Monday Oct 24 and I have tried to find out what ship its on using the nyh website but have had no luck! I go to the website, put in Bremerhaven as departing city and Port Hueme (sp?) as the arriving city but no schedule comes up. Is there another way I can track my baby!?!??!?!

After I found out from the BMWUSA site that my ride as shipped, I checked the sites mentioned and saw that it should be on the GLORIOUS LEADER! It even showed up on the tracking site as well! Thanks for this well laid out guide!!! I'm still trying to patiently wait...but it's killing me. lol

Which site did you use? Did it work with your VIN?

I used the sagaweb.2wglobal.com site to look up the schedule and found the ship's name. Then I used the www.sailwx.info site to track the ship. But to get the status of my vehicle I used www.bmwusa.com. I also called that 1-800 number to see if there was any more info (which there wasn't) and is used the production number. I've used the VIN before as well and it worked.

The website and the 800 number takes forever to update your car once its loaded on a vessel. The best way to see if your car is loaded on a vessel / booked to be loaded on a vessel is to search by vin from 2wglobal.com website. My car is currently on Glorious Leader, but the 800 number still says waiting transport vessle and the website says production ended. ETA for Glorious is 11-30 someone needs to equip these ship with rocket boosters

Hey, how did you look your car up? Every time I go to track and trace it sends me to a blank white page. Do you have to log in? Also, I believe mines is on the same vessel because of when I found out it shipped.

on the lower right hand side theres a "track and trace" button, click on the "All users" one.

A new window/tab will pop up , then you just put it your vin number under "Cargo id" and click track. Easy as pie and its updated much faster than the 800 number ever will.

You have to use various other sites to track the actual ship though. This site only tells you the schedule and the estimated arrival date.

Yeah that's what I've been trying to do. Either it doesn't like me because I'm on a Mac or because I'm in Japan.

I keep getting a blank screen after I click track and trace.

I jut purchased a 328xi that had been or order and had shipped. My dealer said the car was coming from South Africa but it has a WPA VIN - wouldn't that mean made in Germany? Wouldn't be the first time a dealer was wrong.
When I search by VIN on the shipping sites it says no record found.
The VIN checks out via the BMW owners site.
So I'm confused but eager. Dealer said only a day or two away from port so I should get in a week - I would think 2 but sooner is better.
This is the first time I have ordered a BMW in 5-6 years so I forgot the waiting and searching.

Hey Zimo, any updates on your vehicle status? Mines happened to be on the Toronto and reached the NY Port a few days ago. Just checked the BMWUSA site and it's at the 'Finishing Touches' stage!

Ordered my E91 328xi wagon on 11/4/11 with a production slot on week 49, production ended on 12/7/11 and the car boarded the Platinum Ray on 12/14/11, arriving in NYC 12/27/11.

The Wallenius website does take 24 hours to update, as it had no record of my car on 12/14/11 when it boarded and shows it today on 12/15/11.

Thanks to those who've kept up this thread...
Two weeks ago I was able to track my car, and now I just saw that it's here in NY/NJ and now the wait begins to clear customs/ag.. hopefully quick!
Live a few miles away from where the car is now, and know I flew over her a few times these past few weeks on my trips back and forth to Europe. Hopefully my dealership gets the car soon (Open Road, here in NJ).

The wait is getting to me! But then again, ordered her officially the 2nd week of Dec, so the timeline has been pretty good~
