Regen?

My exhaust has been sounding a little deeper when pulling away the past couple of days - I assume it\'s probably a regen occurring - any idea how long it\'s likely to go on for?

Thanks
Nick

Needs a 30min run to complete the regen; all I notice is a caramel type of stink from the exhaust.

I garage my car and in addition to the smell dexcribed I notice an unusual amount of heat at the rear if it has done or is doing a regen.

The same can be said when I have a decent curry together with a few beers.

See you have two identical threads ... posted the following in the other, seems everyone else then chose this one... what are they saying?

Quote:
For me usually about 8 - 10 miles. Being an auto, if it is from a local start will hold the gears to keep a few more revs until I'm cruising. Also the mpg will go down (if running a short term average). All settles down after the mileage mentioned, and mpg builds again. There is a slight difference to the engine note and smoothness when running through gears, but nothing different once driving a steady speed.

If you run the coolant temperature, from the hidden menu, at the same time, you get an increase in temperature, which matches the other characteristics and mileage.

Cheers Pete!
I did post in here first but with no replies in 10 hours initially, I thought I'd give it a shot on the main forum
