DIY-remove/replace wiper blade.

I know that we all get 4yrs/50,000 miles free maintenance (for US) on our 3 series car. This free maintenance also covers your wiper blade should it needs replacement. But long after the 4yrs/50,000 miles has expired, you will need to know how to replace the wiper and save yourself some money. ...

the wiper install is rather complicated....for just a wiper. I suppose that shows the sophistication of newer luxury cars?
Take fords and chevy's for example...you sneeze and the wiper is on the floor. ![]() |

Call different dealer to see how much each dealer will charge you. Hope that helps. |

i dont think too many people in my area are concerned with stealing wiper blades. lol. ive never heard of people even trying to, thats pretty dumb. either way i can walk in to the dealer and get new ones for free so whatever. thanks for the disclaimer. haha
btw whats the difference if i take that off? if that is on, they can still pop it off then take out the wiper. |

It requires a little bit more work for thieves to pop out the cover. I rather have the black cover which makes it looks clean. Nothing having the cover, you see too many spaghetti inner connection. But that is just me. If you decided to take the black cover off, let us know how you like it and if the wipper still works good in the rain.

Took my car in for the annual oil change/inspection (only 10,600 miles in first year). They offered me new wipers, so I said fine even tho I hadn't use them more than twice. Got the car back and the mechanic had put a 19" blade on the passenger side which rode up over the trim/A pillar (should be 18"). Don't they even look at what the f___ they're doing? Dealer shall remain nameless to protect the innocent.
