radiator fan runs after shut off
Wasn't sure how to get this thread moved from the general forum, so here goes. Sorry for the duplicate.
Did a search, couldn't find anything. Thought I'd throw it out to see if this is normal. Driven my wife's 335d twice the last couple of weeks and noticed that the radiator fan runs at least 10 minutes after the car is turned off. They were not long trips, 15-30 minutes, no traffic, night, cool, with 1 to 2 stops during trip where car was turned off. I know cool, night, etc., is very subjective - no good way to describe other than I have a X5D and I don't think I've ever heard my fan run that much, if ever after the car has been turned off(maybe mine's busted?). Can anyone tell me what's "normal" for a 335D? Tks

This happens to mine when it is in the middle of a regen. Completely normal for the fan to run, its is just cooling down the engine.
