My turbos slightly slightly whine... And thats with dci, tune, so back to stock i doubt you could hear them...
HOWEVER, I am going through almost a qt of OIL in a month.. No leaks.

I have alot of built up oil in the IC piping.. Which concludes that more than likely my Turbo seals are going bad...
Also upon start up, theres black residue in the condensation that drips out of the exhaust..

Is this grounds for replacement?

Also I have the CX IC and cut shroud. Cut 2nd cats, and cut resonator...
Should I attempt to go COMPLETELY stock or would it depend...

I wish they had a list of parts that CAN AND WILL void to know for sure..

Any mods more than likely void your warranty if it's not stock their stand is it's not their problem.

I'd still like clarification on the 82k miles vs the actual document extending to 1 yr 12k miles..

How do we prove the 82k miles to our service advisor..

I took my car in for that rattle and they replaced everything from the muffler to the Watergates and turbos. The rattle was a little less noisy at first but now 3 months later its back. So I'm not sure what the next step would be.

How many miles on your car when you brought it in to have the wastegates replaced.

This is BS. What about cars that was produced in late 06? With the extended warranty, we still will be out of warranty

Dont forget that this is a PROPOSED settlement. It will ne months before it is decided and that is March 16.
There is a section in the letter that says if you do not like the settelement you can object to it without removing yourself from the class. Maybe that is what the 2007 model year owners should consider doing. It is section 11 and gives the details of what you would need to do.

There is hope in the FAQ on the lawsuit website,

What are the details regarding BMW NA’s extension of the turbocharger warranty under the settlement?
If the settlement is finally approved, BMW NA will be extending the Emissions Warranty on Settlement Class Vehicles to cover any failure of the turbocharger that is caused by the alleged defect in the wastegates to a total of 8 years from the in-service date or 82,000 miles, whichever comes first. Per the terms of the original New Vehicle Limited Warranty, BMW NA will not provide warranty coverage to any Settlement Class Vehicle containing modifications or alterations to the turbocharger or its wastegates (software, hardware or otherwise), or evidencing other conditions not normally covered under the original New Vehicle Limited Warranty applicable to the Settlement Class Member’s Settlement Class Vehicle.

Garage List
2008 335i E90  [4.00]
I received a settlement letter along with a claim form for this specific lawsuit. Unfortunately, I am not eligible for any out-of-pocket expenses because I had none. The two HPFPs that BMW replaced were under warranty.

Mine is an 08 model with 25K miles on it. Warranty expired two weeks ago. I'd love to get extra 4 years of warranty on the turbos!

There was a huge recall on the n63's auxiliary water pumps which could cause fires lol
Imagine with the new 4cyl and the new m3 engine haha recall after recall
Really? My N54 has been trouble free for over 4 years and tuned for 2.
I think this forum with tuned motors is a small sample of BMW's on the road
