speedo/rev counter display question

hi,
ive been reading through many many threads in the fabulous forum, but there is one question i have that i think hasn't been asked.

do you have a changing middle display on the dash board.
between the lights for indicators, battery, lights, etc and the mileage counter and i think OBC.

basically, from pictures and videos that i have seen,
the central display in the dash board, inbetween the rev counter and speedo,
show (what i think) is the mileage, current mileage, temp and other OBC features such trip computer, etc.

now, i know having an auto or semi automatic, it display what mode you are driving, and when engaging semi-automatic you can see the gear as well.
on a few videos i have seen, that it shows "M1, M2, M3..." when gears are changed,

and there is a yellow coloured diplay mode in the middle showing the car if doors are open, or DTC, and some other info. these are not the lights at the top of the display which show seatbelt lights, indicator lights.

you can just about see when the car is turned

And in this one when the car hits 100.

and here is another video, very poor quality but you will see what im trying get at. the normal time and temp, dissapear and show DTC.
now these are american version cars, but do we get that funky display on uk cars? or is it the basic one.
i can't remember to well when i went on my test drive.

if anyone knows please do tell me or show me your video or pics for the various kinds of display you see in your dash board.
also because i have not opted for the Pro Nav, as i will be fitting an aftermarket unit in the cigarette tray like Peppernick!

sorry for all the videos, it just helps my little essay! hehe

i believe we do have it, on my e92 (Auto headlights) if you place them on manual and open the door you get a yellow warning, including the parking light warning.

the display is usually orange, but will go yellow for informational alerts such as door not properly closed.. and red for warning, such as seat belt (once driving overe a certain mph) and handbrake on etc.
cheers

Feel free to keep asking the little detail questions - I certainly did before I ordered and took delivery.

Usually a chime noise is made when the display changes colour and a warning or informational symbol is displayed.
