Adaptive Xenon headlight adjustment

Just had the front of the car resprayed and new adaptive headlights, windshield and moonroof due to an 8 month gravel road construction project near my home that I could not avoid.

After getting the car back, even though the headlights looked like they did when new, were self leveling and move when turning the wheel they were not illuminating road signs or were \"following where i look\" when driving, the focal point was way to the right.

Took it back twice, the 2nd time the shop manager took it to a BMW dealership for a headlight adjustment and now all is fine.

If anyone is finding their night lighting is getting worse, check if street signs are no longer glowing ahead and if the \"spotlight\" isn\'t exactly where your eyes should be looking when driving.

A perfect headlight adjustment may save your car, your life, or someone else\'s.

Great safety point and reminder to everyone.

Does the headlight adjustment mean a reset of stepper motors and steering angle sensor? How exactly is the adjustment accomplished?

Congratulations on your new headlights, windshield and moonroof. Dust and stones can really do some damage.

2006 3 Series; Driver side headlight

Hi, I don't see a screw to turn anywhere behind the headlight.

Has anyone recently tried to adjust the headlight on their 2006 model (e90)?

You need a number three Phillips screwdriver, horizontal movement is under the rubber cap beside the light housing, vertical is in the housing.
