Looking at a number of suspension fixes - anyone have experience removing this E93 brace other than on a lift?

I jacked both sides up at same time. Took it off because my AE exhaust would not fit. Bad thing about leaving off is the chasis is not as rigid and could affect your top. Reason I say this is because I tried closing my top while my car was parked on a even surface. Top didn't shut right until I was on a level surface. Took it to dealership and they said this bars help stiffen up chasis. Recommended me putting them back on.

Anticipating problems if not level, stress off wheels, plan's to place on equal height jack stands @ jack points w/top up....E93's much stronger at the sills than E90/E92.

Thus, brace should easily come off to lower rear sub-frame. Dang I wish I had a lift!

First up: Remove vile 'sport' rear sub-frame bushings; replace with excellent M bushings. Return rented tool to HP Autowerks.

Just for fun, taking pics for DIY, extensive suspension mods, noob detail level. Hey, wish me luck on that....

Turns out, no problem at all – once the car was level, easily removed. Impact wrench: Tool of the GODS!

You have to remove it with an aftermarket exhaust, or at least the Vanguard you do. Mines are off and I've been driving around without it.
