Cracked My Fender!!!

Do NOT let people lean on your car! I learned the hard way, girl was about 120lbs and she cracked my fender! Its not really bad yet, but im worried its gona crack more from vibrations/cold weather, etc...

Does anyone know if there is any sealant i can use to patch this up for preventative measures? It already looks like my hood is open when looking at the car from the side of the crack, the whole front of the fender is sagging down from the wind pushing it down when driving.

Here is a few pix...

Get on car-part.com to try and find an AW E92 at a yard, then call and ask for the fender.

People who let others sit on their cars are not car enthusiasts. Period. Seriously, who lets someone sit on their car and risk even micro-scratches from jeans or even worse damage from buckles, etc?

Hell, I don't even TOUCH the surface of my car with my fingers EVER let alone sit on it.

Anyway patch it? Seriously? I hope you mean professionally and by a body shop.

Whats the downside of the crack spreading? The fender would need to be replaced? It needs to be replaced already.

Calm down fella, it was a chick, she was leaning on it. The crack is barely visible with the hood down, i wanna put some kinda bondo on the inside part of it so it doesnt spread.

Nope, part number is the same between coupe/vert, so the fenders are identical.

AW changes color with exposure to sunlight, so if you want it perfect, I'd just look for a random used fender and have it repainted. I'd spend the extra $100-200 for a new one as opposed to having yours repaired.

wtf??? i'm 180 lbs and i sit on my hood and nothing happens? (yes ppl i really do sit on my hood XD) sounds stupid but it's been messed up since for years now and i'm going to go cf soon enough, as far as patching a crack... cracks tend to spread until it hit's the edges. bondo will definitely crack off after a year or two. buying a new fender will definitely be the best investment seeing as the body shop will quote close to how much the fender will cost. meanwhile so your fender chunk won't fly off, i'd duct tape it from under it to hold on. of course there will be a gap but it's alot better than having a chunk fly off of your car while you're at higher speeds.

It really is. You can read up all you want about how to please a woman, you can look at all the diagrams in the world, but just like the clitoris, you won't know what the hell an apex is before you actually find it.

awww that sucks. Now ill think twice about letting anyone lean on my car. But this just seems like bad luck. Try some multiweather sealant, buff it down, and a little paint.

So the fender is plastic? I have a 2006 330xi and I don't think mine are plastic.
