The Engine didn't move from what i understand. The mound it self was just relocated. The new V Brace is being used to strengthen the mount.

That link is actually for our Upper Solid Mounts for E46/E36 vehicles. We don't have any info on the site about the relocation kit yet.
Solely used to relocate the Motor Mount, the engine stays in the exact same position. More info to come guys!

Looking forward to numbers pricing reliability and drivability. Possibility of this working/fitting in a 1M?

exactly.

you want more power just buy faster car. it will be way cheaper in the long run.

this is the same when i got out of VW scene where people were buying axles left and right, then fuel systems, brakes, suspension, tranny, diff, then built motor..it never ends. $15k VW GTI became $60k sink hole. if you enjoy modding sure, spend it and enjoy it. if you want power only, just faster car to begin with.

just simple example:

500chp '07 M5 is $35k
400chp '08 335 with mods is $35k

in 5 years M5 will hold up better in value and reliability. sure, they are different cars, but you can take Z06 or E63amg or whatever you like that's faster.

This is incorrect unless you differentiate between actual volumetric rate and standard volumetric rate.

Actual volumetric rate will not change.

But peak torque could be reduced depending on engine VE (heads mainly) at this new rpm range.

Me?

I didn't mention the exhaust side (turbine), but I did not forget about it.

Much misinformation has been posted here and I am attempting to clear some of it up.

This started when a comparison was made between large and small turbos. It sounds like you are now talking about turbine efficiency (which is the real reason why larger turbos are better in this application... along with compressor efficiency).

Perhaps I can help him understand a little more:

Take your typical passenger car tire at 32 PSI...

Now take a tractor trailer tire at 32 PSI... which has more air in the tire?

There is more air in the tractor trailer tire at 32 PSI then a passenger tire at 32 PSI.
FML

This comparison makes it clear that you do not know what you are talking about.

Forgive the ignorance but why is a single turbo such a big deal and such a big benefit over the twin turbo setup? Isn't that what the N55 is already-a single twin scroll. Why not just use that platform with upgraded turbo that is already designed to run one single?

I thought the n54 was desirable due to the fact it had two seperate turbos. I do not see what 1 will be able to do that 2 (even if smaller) cannot do?

Also if you want gobs of power and want a big single turbo, won't that create great amounts of lag?

+1 So true. I believe there is a point where one just has to look to a better platform if they want more power. To me personally, anything more than FBO + Meth with tune is too much money spent. It's one thing to put maybe 5K into a platform but some are putting about 20K+ To me that means it's time to get a better car. My 335is will see a COBB AP tune and that's it while I save up for something better in the future. Just MHO.

...although the one thing a lot of people are not understanding are the benefits that will trickle down to lower HP cars from these type of developments. The more companies enter and want to create a kit like this, the cheaper the kits will be as well as the available options.
