Squeaking noise when getting out of the car.
I have a 2007 335i and I am getting a squeaking noise when I get in or out of the car. I think its only on the driver side, but I cant tell exactly where its coming from. I'm guessing its the rear shock/strut because it sounds like its coming from the rear of the car.
Anyone else have this issue? If so how did they fix it? Thanks |

I've noticed this sound in my Nissan after I lowered it. Makes it when going over speed bump too. Maybe because I changed the springs and not the shocks?

i suspect u have the same issue as i do, which is the parking break making noise
try this, sit inside the car, set the parking break, then try and jump arnd inside the car to make the car roll back and forth, if it makes noise, then try and jump arnd inside the car again without the parking break set, if no noise then u just confirmed its ur parking brakes causing the noise.

I never even thought of the parking brake. I'll give this a shot and see if I can still hear the noise with the parking brake on. But now that you mentioned it, the sound does sound alot like the brakes.
Thanks for the tips guys. |
