Seat belt warning sound

Does anyone know of a way to disable the warning sound made when you drive without your seat belt on? I hate the damn sound and I'd like to disable it. Thing is the stupid seat belt is terribly positioned and non adjustable in the E92 and sometimes clings onto the side of my neck and is very annoying. I want to drive without the seat belt sometimes, so please spare me the comments on whether I should keep the seat belt on, each to his own.

Have you tried putting your seat belt on? I know this sounds silly, but sillier things have happened.

Cheap skate solution would be to put the seat belt in and then sit over it.

+10000!!

I'm sorry but why would you not wear your seatbelt? It's there for a reason man. Safety... especially with a car like yours with all that power. Seriously though. Just click it or ticket!

Sorry you can tell me to spare my comments but I don't take this question lightly. I've lost 2 friends in the past 3 years from not wearing their seatbelt. Think about what's more annoying, your seat belt rubbing on your neck or your face rubbing on the concrete when you go thru the windshield. Get used to it, put the damn thing on.

well who says that its for the drivers side?? maybe he has something heavy sitting in the passenger side like a suitcase and forgot to put the damn seatbelt on and it goes off when hes driving. Then its a little more dangerous to try to reach over and buckle the seatbelt and its sort of annoying that someone would have to pull over to put the damn seatbelt on when he only needs to drive a few blocks or a few miles.

you never know what the reason is so please stop with the comments about putting on your seatbelts...if he respects his life he will put it on just like most people on here. If he doesnt then he wont and its really not our problem at that point so let him do his own thing.

for me putting on my seatbelt if the first thing i do...but what if i wanna move my car for someone to get out of my driveway and i do a turn around down the street. i dont need to put my seatbelt on for that as i will not be traveling more than 5mph...yet the thing will beep for the next 10 minutes.

sometimes its just annoying for some of us that always do put our seatbelts on but those certain times that we dont feel the need to put it on the gong will keep gonging til the end of time.

Just sayin

Similar situation here. My mailbox is 300 yards away. I have to get out of the car to get my mail. I'm pretty damn sure my safety isn't in jeopardy during the 300 yards down my driveway, but that dang chime is annoying as heck.

Nor do we need the seatbelts when we head over to the neighbor's house for appetizers and a cocktail.

Nor do I need it when I move it out of the garage so I can wash it or make room in the garage for other activities.

I get why people jump to conclusions, but it doesn't mean they have to be pissy or high and mighty with them...

Even if you are going a short distance like 300 yards to your mailbox or turning your car around in the cul de sac at the end of your street, is it really that hard to put the seat belt on?

I'm not from the stone age like the people arguing against the seat belt on, but getting in the car and immediately putting the seat belt on as my ass touches the seat is just natural.

It doesn't bother me than I'm driving for 30 seconds, it is so simple to do that this thread should be locked for the sheer ignorance and stupidity.

No its not that hard, but is it really necessary?

Well good for you, perhaps I should wipe my ass the same way as you as well?

I've gotten some really great responses, especially one offering to help me reprogram the code for said annoying alarm. So this thread has been immensely helpful for me, if you think its so ignorant and stupid then please go start your your own thread so I can come in and fart all over the place.

OK lecture over, OP gets it's a dumb idea and is going to go through with it anyway.
