New 2011 328i convertible

We are looking at a few different convertibles. All have been 2011's. There is one that is new with msrp of $51,000. The dealer is offering $5000 off since it obviously is a 2011 and 12's are already out. Then there are many used 2011's we have looked at, none certified, that have ranged in $41,000 - $44,000 range that basically have the same upgrades (premium package, cold weather, convience etc.) as the new 2011.

Would you pay $3000 - $5000 more to have a new 2011 vs get one with 10,000 miles or so or do you think a dealer can come down any more than $5000 off msrp for a new 2011 right now.

I only drive 8000 miles or so a year so down the road I don't expect to put a lot of miles on this car each year.

When u r spending ~45k, then 4-5k shd not be a big deal for a brand new car. Go for new one...IMO.

It depends. The used cars will carry the full balance of the original warranty (up to 4 yr/50k miles). So that is a plus.

Look up the Kelly Blue Book value of the used cars and compare to what the dealer is offering.
