Folding rear seats

Ive just bought some m sport rear seats for my e90 that doesnt have split seats.

Just picked them up and whipped them in the garage however i cant see any lever to fold them? Probably a stupid question but couldnt find any info on it

So how does the seat release?

cheers

There are two levers in the boot, just under the top boot lip. Cables are fed from these to the seat clip mechanism on the back of the seats.
If you look in the handbook it should describe how you fold them down.

If you didn't have folding seats to start with then you won't have the levers and Bowden cables in the car already because there wouldn't be anything to connect them to. You'll need to buy the levers and cables.

Apparently it was reasonably rare to have folding seats too (through load capacity).

I transferred the interior from my written off car (which DID have folding rear seats) into another car which did not have folding seats.

It was a PIG PIG PIG to do. Amazing how much more complex the whole business is with folding seats. Different seat belts, different parcel shelf, lots of complexity on seat mounting and hinges.

rear folding seats

I live in USA. HAve a 2008 M3 Sedan without rear folding seats. Am a cyclist. Would like my bike in car instead of external car rack. That is why I want to put in rear folding seats. Any ideas? I saw a post from 2009. Been to 3 BMW dealers. All wanted approximately 4000-5000! LOL. Any ideas?

Yeah this seems to be the only option (and depending on the color can be pricey I wanted to attempt it until I priced it out)

Same parcel shelf and same belts with the middle belt being the only different one.
I dont see where the difficulty is as i changed from folding to non folding and have now bought a leather folding set to go back in.

If you find a garage who is willing to provide parts and labour I would be extremely interested in this. I am sick to death of having to switch cars whenever I need that extra space.
