Sticky Grafix can, but I asked and it's a) $2,500 or so and b) they REALLY don't want to do it because they basically have to take the car apart. Let me know if you find someone for cheaper.

It's really not worth it...

firstly, its an expensive job
secondly, its a pain in the ass when you want to remove the vinyl

Well, I wouldn't agree that it's not worth it - it's worth doing it on a brand new car which hasn't been raped by winter yet. Then, when you're a few years into ownership, you remove the vinyl and bang, new car. Better than clearbra from this reason precisely because you get to re-experience the car.

But definitely expensive, and definitely a pain in the ass to remove.

Thank you very much! Appreciate the kind words

Was certainly a lengthy build, but fun (sometimes..) never the less! It's unfortunate that I may be selling it come spring.. Planning on building something else, just not sure if it will fill the void the R32 did :P

Ahhh that's too bad. It always hurts to sell a car you've spent so much time & effort on. But I'm guessing you will be doing some cool projects on the next one?

I recently bought mine and I'm not sure what to do with it yet, but I think I will be going towards a track build on this one too. If I decide on it, I'll make sure to give you a call for some help

Do you do regular mechanical work as well? or just custom projects?

It does hurt, thats a fact! And so yes, I'm hoping the next project blows this one out of the water, assuming I don't run out of steam mid-way! Looking towards a P-car for the next project.. Maybe RWB'ish We'll see! I'm sure if you gaze back at the site in a couple of years, you'll see its turn out haha.

Sounds great! I'm assuming by the sig, an M? Certainly a great base to start with. Brakes, suspension, and you've already won half the battle

Would love to give you a hand! Always interested in projects like this (as i'm sure you can see).

I do just about everything. On the other spectrum of things i design and manufacture one off custom carbon fibre pieces for a variety of domains. Along with that, restore older model cars, namely Porsches, and modify newer ones. So i guess you can say 'general' lol. Equipped with tig, mig, plasma cutter, and just about any other gadget you can see fit to be in a shop, so the possibilities are relatively endless..

I have distributorships with a number of companies that deal outside of Porsche, and so if you ever need a price on parts, let me know what you'd be interested in and I can see what I can do for you! Otherwise, always interested in working on something, so feel free to ask!

Spoke to Robert yesterday (Sorry, don't know the SN's on here well enough to know who's who)

He'll be coming in as the test subject next Saturday Vinyl wrapping the chrome window surround..

Eager to meet up with some BMW enthusiasts!

I'll have pics posted here, as well as on my website as soon as it's done.

Small update. Just wanted to share some pictures of an 08 128i I did today for a customer.

Used a matte black to cover up the window surround, and the door trim chrome. Also vinyl wrapped his eyelids matte black. These were small, unpainted, plastic eyelids - the same effect can be had by applying the vinyl directly to the light housing, though..

Check the rest out here!
