(hd video) Odd engine sound??? - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

This is coming from the driver side between the intake manifold and radiator fan. i can only hear when hood is open curious what this is sometimes turns into a light ticking sound or maybe thats just something else :/

Honestly most n54s make that sound, maybe the video isnt clear. Im kn my phone so the sound isnt the best but sounds normal to me, can you describe what sounds wrong? A rattling sound?

people say its the injectors.

thats what i figured but sounds different then the wastegate rattles and injector sound common with the n54

That noise appears to be normal. This particular sound seems to be injectors. The other light tapping is probably the fuel pressure release valve, also normal.

I had the dealer check this out when I had it in for service. I was told by both my SA and Tech it is all completely normal and the ticking sound is the Injectors. No worries.
