P208E

Drove for maybe 2 miles and CEL came on. Checked with my scan tool when I got home, and that code was all that came up. "DEF injection valve stuck closed" I didn't clear it. I made an appt for BMW to look at it later this morning. 5,500 on the OD...

Anyone else have this code??

That is a generic code, not a BMW code. It sounds like a clogged metering valve which is BMW code 4d35. Yes I've had it, so have many others,, unfortunately. The dealer will clean your metering valve.

Some get this. I have a 2010 and never had problems with the DEF system.

Update... Cel was on driving to the dealer. Parked it, and it sat maybe 4min. Service advisor went to check it and it was "gone".... I'm leaving it for a tech to check it.

I see this code with OBD reader but no check engine light yet. Has anybody had this cleaned out of warranty? If so, how much? Any chance it is a DIY somehow?

EDIT: http://www.autoserviceprofessional.c...mer-diesel-DEF

The above link makes it seem attainable even for a hack. Has anybody done this? I don't know how to activate the valve but I could de-crystal it if i could get to it.
