Price Check: 09 335i Loaded 11k miles

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None
Item Interest
I currently have a 08 328xi Sparkling Graphite that I love. Problem is I test drove a 335i and now have done some casual browsing and stumbled on a what I think is a pretty good deal...

09 335i
Crimson Red/Black Leather
Auto w/paddles
11k miles
Sport
Premium
Cold Weather
Logic 7
Nav
Sat Radio
BMW Assist
Park Assist
Comfort Access
Brushed Aluminum trim
OEM Gloss Black 18's
Asking $36,990

For being fully loaded and having only 11k miles seems the price seems great and I am hoping I could get it down in the 34.5-35 range? KBB and Edmunds are closer to that range. Hopefully my biggest dilemma is deciding if I like the red better than my SG 328 which has 67k miles and no sport or nav.

What are your thoughts? What should I look to be opening my offer with?

I've been market searching for months and red/blue in particular. I was looking at only under 20k in mileage but hardtop verts. In my search I found that a coupe/sedan (which I assume this is) were running in the 33-35 range, with the verts coming in at 36-38. For the record, I bought an AW vert, 2010, with 20,000 miles with sport, nav and premium, for $38k but it was not the norm. A 2010 hardtop vert should have been 40+.

That low mileage and the nice option package I would say 34-35 would be at the top of the price range but if the car makes you happy and is exactly what you want, 1-2k premium price over average market is a judgement call on your part.

One thing for sure, there will ALWAYS be another car out there that fits the bill. Just be patient.

Good advice. I am not moving too quick as I am not 100% sure I want to do it even if it is at the price I want. Plus last time I was very excited to have found what I wanted and think the dealer could tell that. My initial off was too high and they took it without even countering.

So since I'm not a good negotiator, you think I should open with an offer at the low end (33k?) and see what they come back with?

You want me to pay asking price right off the bat? You sound like a worse negotiator than me!

bump

Asked for 21k trade in for my 328 and offered 32k for the 335. Tried to go way low and see what they come back with.

Your taking off 1000 k off asking these cars hold there value dont pay attention to these guys on the forum they try to undercut the brand for there own selfish reasons so they then can mod the car off your back. If you want a car in good shape low low mileage you have to pay the piper .

P.s remember you pay for what you get no one is going to take off 5 k off asking price your are really low balling the price

Ask for 33.5k worst case scenario they counter with 35k best case 34k. You can always talk someone down just not as low as you want.
