sirius radio at chipmunk speed

Hi Guys,

it may sound a little odd, but on my way home from dinner tonight the factory sirius in my E90 sounded a little odd. It took me a second to figure it out but the radio was broadcasting at double speed and EVERY channel sounded like an Alvin and the Chipmunks albulm

The rap station was funny, the hard rock even better, and stern sounds really odd sped up

I hope this goes away next time I start my car, as the radio playing fast eats up the buffer that is used to help keep a steady signal when sat coverage is weak and that left the chipmunk audio cutting in and out frequently.

I only had 1 beer with dinner, and it was normal sized

hmmmm

not sure why that happens, just turn your radio on and off and it will go back to normal, this is not limited to BMW, my portable sirius tuner used to do it too....

Drive your car faster to keep up with the signal. This happens when you are driving too slow in the fast lane.

I'm sure the issue will have resolved itself by the time I head to work tommorow, but I'll confirm

think of all the time I can save by listening to radio at double speed!

Amazing!

Mine got stuck on one radio station (could not change stations).....I turned off the car & unplugged the power cable to the sirius radio (not sure if this was even necessary)...and it corrected itself.
