yes it should if you run the right offset to clear the strut

no problem, if its any consolation, i ran 245/40/18 hakka's in winter on 189's and there was no rubbing what so ever on the sport xi,suspension. in fact the car handled MUCH better even on MUSHY snows..anyhow you're going to love the extra sidewall protection and the comfort factor of 17's with a 40 series tire.
