Will this work on 2009 e92 x-drive with stock suspension without rubbing in front??

yes it should if you run the right offset to clear the strut

I think the oem 188s is 34...hoping don't have run spacers.

Tires came in heading to dealer on Monday guess we'll see.

no problem, if its any consolation, i ran 245/40/18 hakka's in winter on 189's and there was no rubbing what so ever on the sport xi,suspension. in fact the car handled MUCH better even on MUSHY snows..anyhow you're going to love the extra sidewall protection and the comfort factor of 17's with a 40 series tire.
