Close to 8 months and 10K miles. Love, love, love the car! Makes me grin from ear-to-ear every single time I get on it and feel that kick in the back and hear that exhaust scream. You'd think it would start wearing off by now, but nope, I am still taking the long way back from the gym, errands etc., and coming up with all kinds of excuses to take the car out. Would be my first choice again. What a car!

Oh...and the only issue so far...just discovered this weekend that the AC no longer works. Have to take it to the dealer to get checked out.

Just a few months into my 2012 e93 335is, and I love it. No problems so far. And like MotorWeek, my favorite feature has to be the exhaust. If you ever needed a reason to pop the top on a convertible (like you need one in the spring in Texas), it's just to hear the growl...

So far, so good....
The BMW just passed 6,500 miles
That is just over 5,000 miles ‘stateside’ – after redelivery last November, after ED last Sept. Just a few random thoughts. I am enjoying every drive. I find this to be an extremely well balanced and fun coupe. The raw thrust is very nearly equal to the 2007 Corvette I had. The 7 speed DCT transmission is excellent – by far the best such device I have experienced. The brakes and handling are also excellent. The exhaust note, I find absolutely intoxicating. Nothing has fallen off – no rattles, squeaks or groans have appeared. No trips to the dealer. Avg MPG is even surprisingly good! So far, everything I had expected. I went to the local annual auto show here in Atlanta last Saturday. I saw nothing close to my price range that I would rather be driving. - Ray Very pleased with the choice . . . |

8 months and 7.5K miles on the E93 335is so far. One track trip (Willow Springs) and now looking to square up the wheels and do a few simple brake upgrades (fluid, SS lines, stoptech pads).
Still love the sound after 8 months, drive it everywhere in sport+/manual (has the DCT), but MPGs have suffered b/c I'm constantly downshifting to hear the pops/crackles of the exhaust. Practicality is low with two kids (12 and 9) but if we really need space we take the wife's Pathfinder. Sometimes regret not getting the used 2010 S4 I was looking at, but put the top down, drop a few gears and all misgivings are forgotten. |

Looks like most have DCT on their 335is. Anyone have the 6MT?
The only "issue" I have is that I don't get to feel the overboost with the 6MT like I did with the DCT. The DCT was an obvious kick in the pants when it came on, but I've never felt that same kick with the 6MT so I assume it's coming on but is just a linear increase in torque. Anyways, love the exhaust note and love the car! I've had one very minor issue and the door trim on passenger side wasn't secured so it began rattling. |

6MT is here. I can definitely feel when the overboost comes on. It's not like an 'instant on' switch if that's what you mean, but a substantially stronger thrust and you can feel the rear tires struggling for grip.

6MT here, and glad I made that choice; very connected to the car.
I'm very happy with this car. Trade in my loved '07 335i w/ paddle shifters. DCI's make it sound better too, while adding just a bit of immediacy! Last edited by bluescoupe; 07-06-2012 at 12:08 PM.. Reason: sp |

Anyways, don't know what the issue could be if it's NOT working.. and would feel silly taking it back to the dealer and asking them to look into why my overboost doesn't "turn on." Haha. |

"320HP, throaty exhaust and no upgraded suspension or brakes"
Sounds like a 335 with the BMW performance upgrade and a few aesthetic upgrades. I'll keep my 335i and install JB4... Last edited by marshall834; 07-06-2012 at 06:52 PM.. Reason: Can't spell or write |

You can add the M Sport kit, the special wheels, and possibly evven the custom trim to a 335i, but you can't add the DCT which makes the 335is special IMHO.

Err...I don't think so. The 335is has a lot more power than the 320 hp that BMW claims it has...and the overboost is undoubtedly the best part. While I have not driven a 335 with the PK, judging from responses on this forum, I am doubtful that it has the same amount of power that the 335is has. I mean, while people generally appear to be pleased with the PK, I have not seen anyone go 'holy shi...this thing is insane' after the PK installation. The 335is will make you do that. Drive one and you will understand.

+1 on the vacation thing.
I'm only four days into mine and the worst part is not being able to drive my 335is. Drove a relative's E class MB yesterday and it was horrible. |

Had mine since june of 2010. 70,000kms. 2 HPFP's, and now the 2nd cat decided to die lol. But thats ok still have 10,000kms of warranty left. Fix it and drive it more lol. Fun car, needs a LSD though. I got the 6spd. The exhaust note is something that does make me smile, golf tee is a must
