Arc Audio PS8 - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Anyone make it to CES and see the yet to be released Arc PS8 DSP? Quite a list of capabilities on their new website, but no price, and unless I just overlooked it, I did not see physical dimensions either. I'm guessing it's quite compact though.

It's already very late. We are looking forward to it, but by the time it gets here, the Zapco DSP-8 will be here, the Helix C-DSP, and the Mosconi DSP processor as well. Will be interesting to test them and see if any of THESE can take a HiFi balanced input without engine noise.

Are you guys concerned about the elimination of Symbilink from the DSP-8? Do you know if it will be dropped from the rest of their amps too?

I really can't believe the price point on that unit - it's map is less than 50% of the DSP-6's

That's crazy - I'm assuming that price points will drop across all lines then?

They are, to an extent. A fair amount, but not like the DSP unfortunately.

That Zapco DSP-Z8 looks to be a slap in the face to the rest of the new-wave of DSP showing up in the next 3-5 months at $429 MSRP.

Better have some de-EQ features, though.

You have a PS8 demo unit there in your hands.... Really? Can we see a photo of it?

If you have a functional PS8 prototype in your hands how much you want for it becuase last time I checked the only 2 proto's were in one of our demo cars and in Robert Zeff's office so if you have it I would personally like to buy it from you so we can have another while we are waiting for production..

ooops my bad, it not a PS8. It was a communication problem. My installer called me to tell me my processor came in and since ive been waiting for the PS8 i assumed it was the PS8. He got me a different unit that i was hoping was the PS8 since my whole system is Arc and the bitone is crap.

I'll let you guys know how the new unit works and garantee i will be buying a PS8 when it comes out

And what are your thoughts on the Zapco DSP-8?

Will they both work with the differential output from the HiFi system?

They aren't production. No one has any thoughts on a production unit.

I heard 3 cars in Spring break Nationals this past week that had it installed. One word, Phenomenal SQ!

I also took pics of the UI of the Zapco DSP which according to their rep it should be out at the end of April.
